Names like American Optical, AO, AO Scientific and B&L are legendary in the optical field. During the 1980's and 90's due to corporate buyouts these companies were merged and names were changed to Cambridge Instruments & Leica. In the early 2000's a group of local investors bought the company and Reichert Ophthalmic was born.
While the name of the company may have changed many times over the years, one thing that has never changed is their commitment to providing quality instruments with cutting edge technology.
Still located outside Buffalo, NY, Reichert Ophthalmic is one of the few American Instrument manufacturers left. We have a special place in our hearts for Rreichert, since both Jon & I started our careers there. We owe them a great deal for all the support they have given us over the years.
